O al menos eso deja entrever Capcom al asegurar que la productora Plan B Entertainment, propiedad de Brad Pitt, ha llegado a un acuerdo con la desarrolladora y distribuidora japonesa para hacerse con los derechos del inminente Dark Void con la idea de adaptarlo al malvado, malvado celuloide. Faltará saber si el propio Pitt querrá protagonizar el filme y tendrá las pelotas ánimos para viajar al Triángulo de las Bermudas, dejarse teletransportar a una realidad alternativa, echarse a la espalda un jodido jetpack fabricado a base de tecnología extraterrestre y enfrentarse a una civilización alienígena de sucios imperialistas. RELIANCE BIG ENTERTAINMENT AND BRAD PITT’S PLAN B ENTERTAINMENT JOIN FORCES WITH CAPCOM® Sci Fi Thriller will be based on Capcom’s New Video Game Franchise Debuting January 19th Los Angeles, CA (November 19, 2009) – Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment, under its Creative Partnership with Reliance BIG Entertainment, and Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, have come to terms on the film rights relating to Dark Void™, a new property from Capcom. The theatrical version of the Dark Void game is being developed as a sci-fi action franchise and potential starring vehicle for Pitt. Capcom will release Dark Void on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and PC in North America on January 19, 2010 and across Europe on January 22, 2010. Dark Void is an adrenaline-fuelled blend of aerial and ground-pounding combat which centers on Will, a pilot who crash lands in the Bermuda Triangle following a routine mission. Will wakes up to find himself in “The Void,” an alternate world resembling a primitive earth where aliens with superior technology are planning to take over civilization. Together with a faction of humans who have disappeared into the Void, Will takes on the alien race using their own advanced technology including a high-powered jet pack to defeat them and keep order in the civilized world. Reliance BIG Entertainment, the flagship media and entertainment arm of Indian conglomerate, Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG), first introduced its innovative development/production financing deal, termed a Creative Partnership, with Plan B Entertainment at the Cannes Film Festival 2008.
